A beautiful Victorian apothecary’s bottle holder. It is a particularly large example turned from sycamore. The removable top is threaded and the base is stamped “16oz”. Antique Apothecary Bottle Holder.
Dating back to the period of 1800 to 1900, this chemist’s tool is made of bronze and brass, adding to its collectible value.
Pill rounders or finishers were used by apothecaries to round pills after they were made by placing them under the pill rounder which was then moved in a circular motion, applying slight pressure to the pills.
