I will work with interested parties to do multiple groupings of whatever interests you. Please give them a good home! Vintage Rare Antique Primitive 19th Century Apothecary Brass Mortar & Pestle. Solid brass, not the thin type commonly sold on eBay. The unit weighs 4 lb 5 oz unlike the reproductions shown on ebay. 2 square handles, Pestle has top tip broken and measures 5 1/4″. Mortar part is flanged, Mortar 4 1/2” high and 4 1/4 across top. Great addition to any display. Someone added something on the bottom inside and must have been using it as a vase? The condition is good with some signs of age including the chip on the rim and the damaged pestle.

This is an original 1950’s novelty 19th century remedy for childlike ills (paddle). It’s from the Spot Tavern in Clinton, New Jersey and it’s in really good condition for the age. On the front under the hen on a basket some of the lettering is faded and on the back at the bottom is some flaking of the plywood but doesn’t take away from it being displayed. Also on the back the bottom letters have a tiny bit of fading. The directions on the back are clean and legible with no visible wear or anything else. It measures 13 5/8″ tall X 3 1/2″ across the bottom section and is a 1/4″ thick plywood. View the pictures and ask any questions.
