Interesting measuring spoons. Because they give the normal measurement and in drops. And they are bent. I suspect that was easier to give the dose to the patient. They have a patent date on them of July 1900. They are in used condition. They have wear and scratches. But still around to measure things. Please see photos for condition. An amazing beaker by Whitall & Tatum Company with what appears to be hand-etched and meticulously calibrated markings! Clear glass and with a visible pontil mark on the bottom, this is a gem from scientific history. Measures 5 1/2” tall by 3” in diameter at the top edge. In excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Beautiful! This substantial piece will surely delight any vintage science lover.
Antique Vaporole aromatic ammonia inhalant set by Burroughs Wellcome & Co. Original early 20th century pharmaceutical item featuring multiple silk-wrapped ampoules housed in the original box. Each ampoule is enclosed in woven silk/netting as produced. Contents have not been opened or tested. No visible leakage observed. Box shows expected age-related wear including discoloration, edge wear, and surface staining. Please review photos closely for condition details. From an estate of two retired pharmacists that enjoyed collecting antique apothecary items including these gorgeous show globes.These are handblown glass globes. They do no have stoppers or any way to hang them as they are. These can be displayed sitting on their brass collars instead.Each globe measures approximately 14″ tall overall with collar.The brass collar measures 6 7/16″ across at the widest and 3.25″ tall. Victorian brass 2 Drams Apothecary Weight dated March 16 1847 for W & T. A. This 21.5mm well struck pleasantly toned brass Apothecary Weight was die-struck for 40 grains. The coin weights were used up until about the 1940s.
