This heavy-duty mortar and pestle set is made of solid brass. This one features a lid to prevent particulate matter from escaping. The inside is ribbed to make grinding easier. 4.2 lbs (1920 grams) It was used by an apothecary-herbalist in Los Angeles. The item has some minor dings due to use, but is still a100% functional. Manufacturer is not known.
Rare casted brass. Spared no expense back then. Or polish to its original luster. Solid Casted Brass. Great condition.
