This is a limited edition as part of the Pharmacy Education Program Series. all of the tiles are in amazing shape with very bright graphics and no chips or cracks. This replica tile features a 17th century English Apothecary’s Crest with the London Coat of Arms and the motto “Opiferque Per Orbem Dicor” – “I am called throughout the world the one who brings help”. This tile is made of glazed ceramic earthenware. It is hand decorated in Delft style with blue design. The dimensions are approximately 5-7/8 x 5-7/8 x 1/8 inches. The scene depicts the value of uroscopy and recognize the role of the pharmacist, as significant in the past as it is today. This kind of pill tile, used to prepare medication, were awarded to pharmacists upon completion of their training and in recognition of their service to the community.
