This is a fabulous matching pair of Italian Delft Albarello Apothecary Drug Jars from the 19th century. The second jar is inscribed ‘PULPA CASSIE’ – a currently unidentified substance. Italian Delft/Faience.
What stands out about the material is the glass, which doesn’t warp when temperatures shift slightly.

This piece is hand painted, marked “Made in Italy” on the base, and includes its original matching lid. It features classic Italian Pharmacy style decoration and displays beautifully. There is one small chip underneath the lid handle, not visible unless the lid is lifted.
